January lied, spring is the real reset
Apr 10, 2026
Spring always feels like a reset.
If you are anything like me, winter can feel like living in a vacuum. Every year I seem to wake up in early spring wondering where the last few months have gone. Part of me has been in survival mode. Short days, heavy deadlines, childcare, freezing temperatures. I do what I need to do to cope, but it is not really living, it is just getting through.
Then spring arrives and something shifts.
I feel refreshed, re energised and ready to take on the goals and aspirations I had for the year. I want to be outside. I want to see friends, make plans and, for all intents and purposes, sort my life out, even though that can feel like an endless cycle of to do lists.
But there is something about this season that makes it feel possible.
Spring is the perfect time to pause, reset and reflect. To take notes, breathe deeply and prioritise what really matters. To prepare for the longer days ahead and focus on becoming a better, more grounded version of myself.
This year I am intentionally taking time off to refocus my energy. On personal passion projects, on upskilling and on reconnecting with what I actually want. The goal is not perfection, but alignment. I want to return to my routine feeling more focused, more capable and more centred. Less reactive, less chaotic and less like everything falls apart the moment something does not go to plan. More steady, more intentional and more me.
So this year I am going to take on a few simple things that will help shape the rest of the year and make it feel more structured and more aligned. I want to feel like January’s goals actually happened. The truth is that across the world, the first of January is not always the right time for people to make changes. Sometimes people just need to survive.
So this year I am making a change. I am starting my new challenges in spring, when the weather is warmer, the days are lighter and I feel like I can thrive and not just survive.
Here is my spring reset list
Workout three times a week
Limit alcohol
Eat whole foods
Use my vibration plate
Slow mornings
Consistent routine
Time to rest
So regardless of what goals you set yourself in January, let spring be the time you take stock and refocus on what is important to you.
